John Wayne Martindale, age 79, of Urbana, AR passed from this life October 27 ^, 2022 at Lifetouch Hospice in El Dorado, AR.

John "Wayne" worked as a truck driver for over 50 years He was a member at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He loved deer hunting, fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren, his puppy-dog Precious.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Elmer and Georgia Etta Brown Martindale; one brother James Martindale; and three sisters Carolyn Martindale Smith, Mary Martindale Cloud, and Louise Martindale Boykin.

Those left to cherish his memory include: his sweetheart of 60 years Shirley Ruth Martindale; two sons Johnny Martindale of Lawson, AR, and Tony Martindale and his wife Cari of Beebe, AR; two grandsons Evan Martindale and his wife Kayla of Lawson, AR, and Ethan Martindale and his wife Rebecca of Rocky Branch, LA; two granddaughters Lacey Martindale of Pine Bluff, AR, and Page Martindale of Rogers, AR; six great-grandchildren Cameron, Bentley, Paris, Skylar, Carter, and Addison; one sister Joyce Martindale Darden of Urbana, AR; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Moro Bay, AR, grandson Evan Martindale officiating.  Interment following at Pigeon Hill Cemetery adjacent. There will be a time of visitation before the service beginning at 1:00pm at the church.
