IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph
Mcbride
December 24, 1940 – June 19, 2024
Joseph Benjamin "Joe Ben" McBride, age 83, passed away on June 19, 2024, at the Dallas VA Medical Center in Dallas, TX after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Joe was born December 24, 1940, in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late Dorothy Payne & Haydn H. McBride, Jr.
Joe served at San Antonio's Fort Sam Houston Brooke Army Medical Center right out of high school where he learned and crafted his art in the dental technician industry. He used a gift for precision to earn his sharpshooter badge and become captain of the rifle team. Serving the dental community for over 60 years, he went on to own several of his own dental labs making crowns and bridges for thousands. Likewise, he shared salvation through Jesus with many, "bridging" the eternal gaps in their souls. Even in his last days, he would be found reading the words of Jesus in the gospels. We are certain he is handing those "crowns" to Jesus now.
Joe loved hunting, fishing, watching golf, bowling, the Dallas Cowboys, Arkansas football, and listening to Kenny G. He loved chatting with friends over a nice meal at Del Frisco's about business deals, faith, and life. Gathering with family for holidays and celebrations over home cooked meals became a favorite time for him.
Those left to cherish his memory include: four children Donna Elaine Chronister and her husband Mark of Dallas, TX, Melody Elizabeth Goldmeyer and her husband David of Flower Mound, TX, Joseph Ryan McBride of Denver, Colorado, Robert Allen McBride and his wife Rylee of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren Haley Mae Chronister, John William Chronister, Luke Davis Goldmeyer, Haydn Grace Goldmeyer, Samuel Rieker Goldmeyer, Hayden Cole McBride, Ryker Lee McBride; one brother Ronald Edward McBride of Murfreesboro, TN; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
A graveside service in his honor will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2024, at Mt. Holly Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Perry's Funeral Chapel in El Dorado, AR. Then a memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Park Cities Baptist Church Ellis Chapel in Dallas, TX, with a reception following.
