Obituary

Julius Byron White, Jr.75, of El Dorado went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at his residence. Byron was born on October 16, 1943 in Monticello, AR to the late Julius Byron White, Sr. and Maudre Adcock White.

Byron was a true Evangelist in every sense of the word. For 30 years he preached and ministered at Wade Prison with his dear friends, Dick and Geraldine Thurmon. Many, many captives found salvation and deliverance through his dedication to Jesus Christ and the Word of God. Byron also created and designed Jay's Little Hustler spinner baits and lures. He had a passion for bass fishing, knew everything about Felsenthal and where to find the Big Bass. Later in life, because of his health, he had to retire. Yet he still preached about Jesus and his love everywhere he went. He was a bold witness for the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Janice Hux, Beverly Gunn and Lynn Ellen Olgelsby.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Maxine Rice White; son, Jay White; nieces, Angela Rader and Sabrina Lamkin, who were like his daughters and who loved him like a father; brothers, Jim Adcock (Brenda) of Monticello, William White of Bastrop, LA, and Thomas White of Cleveland, MS; and one sister, Sharon Moore of Oscela, AR.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 until service at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Perry's Funeral Chapels followed by Interment at Harper Springs Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Hospice for their wonderful care, especially his CNA'sErika and Sheila.  Our heartfelt thanks to Katie and Heaven, his Physical Therapist, as well as his Nurse, Vitina. He was special to them and it showed in the way they worked with him.  We would also like to thank his sister-in-law, Betty Ball who stood by him with love and kindness through all these months of him being in bed due to the stroke he had in April.

In Lieu of Flowers memorial donations may be made to Trinity Pentecostal Church of God, the John R. Williamson Hospice House, or Harper Springs Cemetery Fund C/O Marion State Bank.
