Junior Darden 82 of Urbana, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 8, 2011 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House.

He was born in Lisbon on October 13, 1928 to Lem Thomas and Mary Jetton Darden. He was employed by Anthony Forrest in Urbana for 56 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Harold Darden, six brothers; Dick Darden, Dossie Darden, Elmer Darden, Harper Darden, Doyle Darden, and Johnny Darden, four sisters; Daisy Bankston, Ruby Moseley, Lillian Coke, and Josie Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Joyce Martindale Darden of Urbana; one son; Steve (Linda) Darden , one daughter; Cindy (J.C.) Webb all of El Dorado; four grandsons Casey Darden (Melonie), Jeremy Darden (Crissy), Brian Webb (Whitney), Jared Darden, one granddaughter; Brandi Webb (Stephen Havard); four great grandchildren; two step grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one brother; Pete Darden of El Dorado, three sisters; Thelma Smith of East End, Verdie Phillips, of Urbana, and Berdie Nipper of Old Union. Junior was the baby of fifteen children.

Funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Urbana First Baptist Church with Revs. Ricky Watts and Wendell Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Urbana Cemetery under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels of El Dorado.

Visitation will be 6-8PM Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Perry's Funeral Chapels in El Dorado.

Pallbearers will be J.C. Webb, Brian Webb, Jeremy Darden, Jared Darden, Casey Darden and Stephen Havard.
