Obituary

Katie Perry, 76, of Strong, Arkansas left this life on October 21, 2009 at the John R.
Williamson Hospice House. She was born in Strong on March 20, 1933 and is the daughter of
the late Thad Fife and Cordie Agerton Fife who preceded her in death. Also preceding her were
her brothers; James Fife, Bill Fife, and Jewell Fife and most recently a sister; Mamie Sue Fife.

Survivors include a son; Greg Rawls (Tammye) of Strong, daughter; Lois Ann Norris (Ronnie)
of Lawson, Arkansas, a brother; Sam Fife (Virginia) of Strong, six grandchildren; Karen Gage
(Terry), Kim Jeans (Richard), Kevin Norris (Nikki), Jennifer Rawls, Clint Rawls (Jodi), and Misti
Rawls, eight great- grandchildren; Aaron Gage, Shelby Gage, Jackson Jeans, Garrett Jeans,
Bradly Ray, Brady Norris, Cassie Rawls, Dixon Bradford, numerous nieces and nephews,
and a host of special friends and neighbors

Katie's achievements consisted of, being the first woman to receive a private pilot's license in
Morehouse Parish, working in a garment factory, being a Bell telephone long distance operator
and a school bus driver for many years. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in Life. She loved
being outdoors whether working in her flower beds, hunting, camping in the river bottoms or
fishing at the lake. She was happiest being outdoors . Family and friends were an important part of
Katie's life. She cherished the moments visiting with friends and family at neighborhood
cook-outs and fish frys.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday October 24, 2009 at Green Grove Chapel in
Strong, with Revs Ricky Smith and Billy Howard officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews; Scott Fife, Boyd Fife, Dale Fife, Melton Fife, Jeff Fife, and Michael Fife. Visitation will be today (Friday)
from 6pm til 8pm at the church. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of
Perry's Funeral Chapels.
