IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Keri
Groves
July 17, 1975 – July 4, 2025
Keri Groves, age 49, passed from this life Friday, July 4, 2025. Keri was born July 17, 1975 in El Dorado, AR to the late Benny McKenzie and Vicki Mitchell Deaton.
Keri Groves, a spirited force of nature with a heart as big as the sky, passed away surrounded by her loved ones. Known for her vibrant personality and fierce loyalty, Keri lived life on her own terms—boldly, loudly, and with an unstoppable energy.
Keri was a go-getter through and through. She loved to shop, travel, and explore new places. Whether she was outdoors soaking in the sunshine or leading the charge on a family outing, she was always in motion, always the one calling the shots. Stubborn as a mule and proud of it, Keri had a way of getting things done—and making sure everyone knew who was in charge. She was, without a doubt, the boss of the family.
Though her voice was loud, it was full of laughter and love. She adored her children and absolutely cherished her granddaughter, Sutton, who lit up her world. Her great-nieces and nephew held a special place in her heart, and she never missed a chance to spoil them or cheer them on.
To know Keri was to love her. Her toughness was matched only by her tenderness. Behind her bold exterior was a woman with immeasurable compassion and devotion to her family. She was the glue that held everyone together—strong, opinionated, loving, and unforgettable.
Keri leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unbreakable family bonds. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in every story told, every road traveled, and every memory shared.
She was preceded in death by her father; and step-father Morris Deaton who she loved dearly.
Those left to cherish her memory include: her loving husband of twenty years Charles "Bo" Groves; mother Vicki Deaton; two sons Jay Mitchell Groves (Kelsey), and Colton Brice Groves; one granddaughter Sutton Groves; one sister Laura Zeigler (David); one nephew Heath Zeigler; two nieces Tyler Barton (Tucker), and Samantha Davis (Seth); as well as a host of extended family and friends.
A funeral service in her honor will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday 10, 2025 at Perry's Funeral Chapel in El Dorado, AR, Pastor Amy Machen officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home
