Laketa Josephine Burton, age 84, passed from this life Friday May 12, 2023. She was born February 14, 1939 in Haynesville, Louisiana to the late Willie Dee Goode and Edilene Zacher.

She was a devout Christian. She loved fishing and listening to music, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Carl Preston Bishop; daughter Kandy Kay Bishop, grandson Randall Eugene Bishop; and three brothers Henry Davis Goode, Willie Eugene Goode, and David Wayne Goode.

Those left to cherish her memory include: three sons Tracy Bishop and his wife Donna of El Dorado, AR, Clyde Bishop, Jr of Oklahoma, James (Bull) Bishop and his wife Amber of El Dorado, AR; eighteen grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Monday May 15, 2023 at Marysville Cemetery. Family will receive condolences at 132 Wolfie Rd El Dorado, AR.
