Lana Sweaney 49 of El Dorado died Friday January 3, 2014 at John R Willimanson Hospice House. She was born October 18, 1964 in Leadville, Colorado to the late Sterling Lee Hartwig and Sharon Kay Bryant Hartwig Upchurch. She worked as a clerk for Walmart for over 30 years. She was an active member of "Breast friends" cancer support group. She was a member of Parkers Chapel Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and worked in the nursery. She will be dearly missed by all her friends and her family who was her life
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother; Daniel Hartwig.
Survivors include, a son; Caleb Sweaney of Parkers Chapel, a daughter; Sylvia Johnson ( Brandon) of Parkers Chapel, three brothers; Matt Hartwig, Brett Hartwig (Brenda), Bill Hartwig (Tiffany) two sisters; Janet Riegle (Sean) and Wendi Super (Christian), two grandsons; Kaden, Johnson and Lawson Johnson, an aunt; Joyce Weaver, a god mother; Annette Dumas and family, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Saturday January 4, 2014 at Perry's Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Sunday January 5, 2014 at Parkers Chapel Baptist Church with Larry Hudson officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be the following, John Strother, Gerald Riggs, Donnie Boothe, Lee Wright Brian Holt, and Dwight Potts. Additional services will be held at Ermerts Funeral Home in Corning, Arkansas with a viewing starting at 1pm on Monday January 6, 2014 and services starting at 2pm. Burial will follow at Black Cemetery in Success, Arkansas.
