Larry Dean Hale, Sr, age 67, of Huttig, AR passed away January 9, 2024, at his residence after a lengthy illness.  He was born May 7, 1956 to Raymond and Laverne Russel Hale.

Mr. Hale was a life-long resident of Huttig, AR.  He graduated from Huttig High School.  After Graduation, he worked at Olin-Kraft in Huttig, AR.  Later, he worked as a millwright at Georgia-Pacific Plywood in Crossett, AR.  However, his most rewarding endeavor was starting Hale Trucking.  As owner-operator of this independent trucking company, he and his wife Linda traveled the U.S. together.  They were extremely successful, receiving many accolades, including a feature article in Road King Magazine. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, and a devoted friend to all who knew him.

Mr. Hale was preceded in death by his beloved only child, Larry Dean, Jr.; his father Raymond, Sr.; his older brother Tommy Sr.; his brothers-in-law Tommy Hendricks and Lonnie Darden; his father-in-law Harper Darden and his mother-in-law Marlette Nipper-Darden.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 49 years Linda Jane Hale; one grand daughter McKenley Hale; one brother Randy Hale and his wife Gail of Strong, AR; one sister Diane Hendricks of Huttig, AR; sister-in-law Jo hale of Phoenix AZ; brother-in-law Clyde Darden and his wife Gail of Huttig, AR; mother Laverne Russel- Hale of El Dorado, AR; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers: Shawn Dopson, Tim Dopson, Brenden Gilmore, Clint Rawls, Justin  Langston, and Jason Russell; Honorary pallbearers: Edward Johnson, Fulton Lum, and Jeffrey Russell.

Funeral services in his honor will be held at 10:00am Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Harper Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Huttig, AR with Brother Chad White officiating, internment immediately following at Harper Springs Cemetery in proximity to the church.  A time of visitation will be held from 6-9:00pm Friday, January 12, 2024 at the church.
