Larry Douglas Ward, 72, of Smackover passed on January 13, 2026. Born June 11, 1953 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Raymond Guynn Ward Sr. and JoAnn Brazier Ward Farish.

Larry was a veteran of the United States Army and worked in the oil field for a majority of his life. He worked at Wal-Mart during his later years before becoming the Animal Control Officer for Smackover.

Preceding him in death are his father Raymond Ward Sr., his brother Raymond "G.W" Ward Jr., his sister Teresa Brock and niece Casey Brock DeYampert.

Surviving him are his loving wife of 47 years Pauline Griffith Ward, his daughter Sandy Andrews (Darrell), his son Tim Temples (Lori) his grandson Matt Williamson, granddaughters Alison Johnson (Patrick), Brooklyn Kelley (Lane), Cristen Temples (Addison) a host of great-grandkids who he loved to spoil, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving him are his sisters Robin Spencer (Tracy), Lori Watson (Dusty), Denise "Dee Dee" Barrett (James).

Visitation will be held 11:00 am Saturday January 17,2026 at Perry's Funeral Chapel with graveside services to follow at Marysville Cemetery under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapel of El Dorado.
