?Lawrence (LD) Mitchell, 62, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday February 27, 2008
following an auto accident. Born August 28, 1945 in Oak Ridge, Tennesse to Milton and Dellie
Nash Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Gilbert Mitchell and his cherished in laws
Loraine and Jimmy Garrett.

Survivors include his wife of forty-one years, Judy Garrett Mitchell, two sons, Shonne Mitchell,
Danny Mitchell (Laura) of Clarksville, Arkansas, a sister Doris Reddin of El Dorado, a step-
brother James Willis of Mt. Holly, Arkansas, four grandchildren of whom they cherished as
"Pops", Nicholas, Nicole, Megan Mitchell and Hunter Ward, a brother-in-law, James W. Garrett
II, a sister-in-law Jan Lambert (Hal) of Norphlet, Arkansas, numerous cousins, friends and a
special phone buddy, Ricky Lawrence.

Lawrence retired after eighteen years from Columbia Chemical as an electrician. He was a man
of many crafts and talents. He made knives, gunstocks, wrapped fishing rods and handcrafted
his own fishing lures. He loved to fish, hunt, pan for gold, and fly his powered parachute. He
loved his family and friends and the great outdoors. He will be greatly missed by all.

The family would like to thank the ER staff at the Medical Of South Arkansas for their care.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday February 29, 2008 at Perry's Funeral Chapels in El
Dorado, with Revs. Buzzy Sutherlin and Rex McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in
Champagnolle Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Garrett, Tim Hopkins, Adam Craig, Charles
Roberson, Ricky Lawrence, and Stephen McVay.
