Obituary

Linda Elizabeth "Buffy" Pepper, 37, of Lawson, died at her home Sunday May 21, 2011 with her precious "Gizmo" by her side.

Buffy was born September 23, 1973 in El Dorado, the daughter of Linda Pennington Ashcraft and Sam Hall. She was a 1991 graduate of Union High School. She worked for Cooper Standard Automotive for 12 years. She was a member of Lawson Baptist Church.

Buffy will best be remembered for her tender-heartedness and the sentimental value she placed on even the smallest tokens of love and affection from family and friends. Her children will remember her as hilariously funny and an amazing mom with an infectious laugh. She enjoyed duck hunting and was a member/committee chair for Delta Water Fowl. She was a horse lover and collected horse figurines. Buffy was a very festive person who enjoyed making holiday memories for her children. And, she was a fantastic cook!
Preceding her in death was her older sister, Christie Lea McBroom and her maternal great-grandfather, Henry Clifton Poole.

Buffy is survived by both parents; her devoted husband, Lee Pepper; daughters, Chelsea Marie Hawley and Morgan Marie Lane; sons, Joshua Lee Pepper and Joseph Samuel Clifton Pepper; maternal great-grandmother, Billie Poole; maternal grandparents, AB and Margie Hays; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Smith; a sister, Terri Williams and husband, Gary; brothers, Rusty and Sammie Hall of Star City; and nephews Steven Hall and wife Shelly, Will Calhoun, and Carson Williams. She also leaves behind her best friend, Yvonne "Wild Thing" Rogers and her biological parent, Charles McBroom and his son, Bradley. She will be especially missed by her three wiener dogs, Gizmo, Jack, and Sissy, which she affectionately referred to as her "grandchildren."

Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Lawson Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Travis officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels. Visitation will be Tuesday May 24 from 6:00 til 8:00 p.m. at Perry's Funeral Chapels in El Dorado.

Memorials may be made to Delta Water Fowl, 2468 Lawson Road, El Dorado, AR 71730.
