Linda Kay Davis, age 79, of Bonham, TX was called home Thursday, August 10, 2023. Linda was born July 22,1944 in El Dorado, AR to the late A.C. and Mattie Lou Dugal.

Linda was a remarkably kind and generous person - always giving more than what was required and asking for far less than she deserved.  She loved easily, forgave quickly, and always tried to see the very best in others.  Linda taught elementary school for many years in Harlingen, TX.  First grade was her favorite, and teaching children how to read brought her great satisfaction. She also loved the simplicity, innocence, and hope of children's books and kept many in her own home library.  One of Linda's greatest joys was cooking, and she spoiled those she loved with delectable meals and baked goodies; she spoke often of how fun it would be to own a bakery with her granddaughter.  Linda loved to laugh, and her warmth will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include: her loving husband of 60 years Jed Davis, one daughter Jamie Henning; two grandchildren Gage Henning and Kaja Henning; two sisters Elizabeth Garrett of Independence MO, and Juanet Gaskin of Strong, AR; one brother Dwayne Dugal and his wife Elizabeth of Strong, AR; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Strong, AR, interment following at Cane Creek Cemetery.
