Lisa Sinclair Matthews, 46, of Huttig passed away on December 5, 2021 at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas after a courageous battle with Cancer. She was born on May 30, 1975 in Galveston, Texas to Sherman Wesley Sinclair Jr. and Doris Bauguss Sinclair. Lisa worked and cared for her students at West Side where she was employed for 15 years as a Pre-School Teacher. She loved riding motorcycles and hanging out with her second family, ADG (the Apple Dumpling Gang), deer hunting with her husband, Marvin, and had a passion for animals having taken in many fur babies over the years. Lisa was very active but one of her favorite pastimes was learning Karate and competing in tournaments with her brother, Toby. Above all else was the time she spent with her family, children and grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her, paternal grandparents, Sherman Wesley Sinclair, Sr. and Hallie Baker Sinclair; and aunt, Linda Sinclair Fischer.
Survivors include her parents; husband, Marvin Matthews; daughters, Amberly Olvera (David) and Harley Guillot; brother, Toby Sinclair; sister, Toni Martin (Skipper); step-sons, Jesse Matthews (Kelly), Nick Matthews, and Dylan Matthews (Paige); step-daughter, Jade Matthews; grandchildren, Lucas Matthews, Maddox Matthews, Noah Olvera, and Cameron Robinson; maternal grandmother, Hazel Lane; a very special niece, Alyssa Martin; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Strong. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 10, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Strong officiated by Bro. Scotty Guillot followed by Interment at Old Lapile Cemetery under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.
Serving as Pallbearers are Mickey Gathright, Keith Moore, JoJo Mays, Phillip Childers, Scotty Keene, David Crowder, and David Murphy. Honorary Pallbearers are David Olvera, Jesse Matthews, Nick Matthews, Dylan Matthews, Carson Fields, and Skipper Martin.
Memorials may be made to the Old Lapile Cemetery C/O Betty Dunn 712 Bolding Rd. Huttig, AR 71747.
