Louise Murphy Saulsbury, 89 of El Dorado left this life on Thursday February 12, 2009 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. She was born December 11, 1919 in Norphlet, Arkansas and is the daughter of L.D. Murphy and Nellie Hux.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Paul Saulsbury, a son David Lee Saulsbury, sister Allie Bell Simmons and a brother Alymer Murphy.
Survivors include a son Steve Saulsbury and his wife Jan of El Dorado, a sister Marie Schmitz of Norphlet, and two grandchildren, Ryan Saulsbury and Allison Saulsbury, both of Norphlet.
Louise was a homemaker most of her life, raising her family who she loved dearly, especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook for her family on Sundays and on Holidays. Later she was the activity director at Oak Ridge Nursing Home in El Dorado. She loved being outdoors and working in her yard. She loved the beauty of flowers.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm on Monday February 16, 2009 at Perry's Funeral Chapels with Brother Jack Webb officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm til 6:00pm on Sunday February 15, at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Endel, Tony Jones, Charlie Hicks, Ronny Sturdivant, Ricky Bever, and Dwayne Bolding.
