Madison Rural Armstrong's Obituary
Madison Rural Armstrong, 63, of El Dorado, died on Saturday July 25, 2009 at the John H.
Williamson Hospice House. Born September 6, 1945 in El Dorado, the son of Carl William and
Ada Elise Sled Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong had been a truck driver and also worked in the oil
fields. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Gale Armstrong.
He is survived by his wife Betty Armstrong of El Dorado, two daughters Tami Hargis and her
husband Bart of Warren, and Tina Griffith of Strong, Five grandsons Mathew, Michael, Thomas,
Timothy, and Blake, and a granddaughter Brantley Ann. Also surviving him is his mother Ada
Elise Granum of El Dorado and a sister Tewana Gilmore of Strong, along with several nieces and
nephews.
Graveside service will be on Tuesday July 28,2009, at 11:00 A.M., in New London Cemetery with
Bro. Bill Howard officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.
