Major Lee had three children; Gayla Hixon Telano (Willie), David Hixon and Cathy Hixon Phillips (Charlie), four grandchildren; Danielle Murray, Lane Redler, Adrian Hixon and Brittany Hixon, three great grandchildren Joshua Murray, Miranda Murray and Ariana Hixon.

Major Lee in his younger years worked on local drilling rigs, and then began his pipeline career with local teamster union 988 and 624 operating engineers.
He Loved riding horses, being on the Ouachita River fishing, spending time with his family and friends, riding four wheelers with the grandkids, having fish cookouts and riding the backroads listening to old time Country music.

He could always count on his granddaughter Danielle when it came to telling his tall stories, she would always listen and ask questions.
Major Lee's shadow was his grandson Lane. They were a wonderful pair with their spinning tales and country ways. "Two peas in a pod".
He had a great love for horse's, leaving this legacy for his great granddaughter Miranda.
Major always counted on his great grandson Joshua for such things as taking him to the doctor and always returned with a smile on his face and laughter in his heart.
Major Lee was so very blessed in his life to have such caring friends. We would like to thank Robin Johnson, Kenneth Kelly, Alan Gantz, Sam & Peggy Fairris for their lifelong friendship.

We would like to thank long time friend Dr. Kenneth Prather along with the staff at the wound care center for all the love, care and support and encouragement they provided. They were wonderful. We would also like to thank Priscilla Bell a very special caregiver along with Jennifer Keathley (caregiver and niece). Thanks to Dr. Bevill and his staff at SAMA as well as Jimmy Newsom and the staff at Newsom Pharmacy.
