Obituary
Malcolm Lee Griffin, 84, passed away at his home in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday, April 18, 2014, after a brief illness. He was born on Aug. 11, 1929, to Lee Griffin and Selma Craig Griffin.
He was a veteran of the Korean War as well as a member of the El Dorado Masonic Lodge Number 13 and the York Rite Bodies. Prior to retirement, he worked for Amoco for 35 years. In his free time he enjoyed collecting guns and knives with his grandson.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Vella Bridges Griffin; his daughter, Sandy Toups, and her husband, Dr. Matt Toups; two grandchildren, Dr. Nolan Toups and his wife, Megan Toups RN, and Mandy Lester RN and her husband, Whit Lester.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Perry's Funeral Chapel in El Dorado. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 815 Market Street Galveston, TX 77550.
