Obituary

Margie Ruth McDougald Turner, 78, of El Dorado passed away March 11, 2018, at her home surrounded by family and friends.

She was born June 9, 1939, in Laran, Louisiana, to Mattie Lockwood McDougald and Thomas Leon McDougald. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Norphlet where she served faithfully taking care of her many bed babies for over thirty years. She was the most faithful Razorback fan who never left a game until it was over.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 51 years, George Amon Turner; brothers, Thomas Henry "Junnie" McDougald and Charlie Celbert "Putt" McDougald; sister, Geraldine McBroom; and grandson, Zachary Ryan Turner.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Susan (Donivan) Stogsdill of El Dorado and Kimberly (Donnie) Smith of Hilo; her sons, Buddy Turner of Harrell, Jeffery (Dedra) Turner of Little Rock, Tom (Glenda) Turner of Madisonville, Kentucky and Chuck Turner of Tupelo, Mississippi. One sister, MaryAnn Malone of Bossier City, Louisiana and one brother, Dale (Monica) McDougald of Urbana. Grandchildren, Brandon Turner, Lauren Turner, Jessica (Chris) Jones, Trevor Turner, Kailey Stogsdill and Lindsay Turner. Great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Adalyn and Evan Jones and Cobin Tate.
Nieces, Kathy (Charles) Danley, Sonay (DAR) Robinette and Carla Malone. Nephews, Thomas Layne (Pat) McDougald, Nick (Lindsey) McDougald, and Chris (Brittany) McDougald. And many many more nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Norphlet with Bro. Eddie Anderson officiation. Interment will follow at Urbana Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family Monday, March 12, 2018, for visitation from 5 until 7 p.m. at Perry's Funeral Chapels.

The Family would like to express their gratitude to the 7th floor Nursing Staff of Baptist Healthcare, to the Rehab Staff and 2nd floor Nursing Staff of MCSA, and for the loving care of Lacie, Sharon, Penne and other staff members of Lifetouch Hospice.
