Marie S. McWilliams, 89, of El Dorado died Friday, December 14, 2012 in El Dorado at the John R. Williamson hospice house. She was born July 8, 1923 in El Dorado to John Wesley Spillers and Virginia Ann Hill.
Marie retired after 27 years of service at Warner Brown Hospital, then became a caregiver until the age of 83. She loved people, going to church, eating out, her dog "Killer" and most of all fishing. She helped anyone in need and never expected anything in return.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward, daughter,
Brenda Thompson, brother R.C. Spillers of Kennewick, Washington, brother Carl Spillers of Portland, Oregon, two step daughters, Shirley Haynes and Vera Sehorn.
Survivors include a sister, Gertrude Enfinger of Roseville, California, a son Kenny W. McWilliams of Wright, Wyoming, son, Jim McWilliams (Shirley) of Emerson, two daughters, DiAnn Burson and Patricia Kinard both of El Dorado, nine grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm Sunday December 16, 2012 at Perry's Funeral Chapels with Steve Moss officiating. Burial will follow at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery.
