Marion Paul Cannon, 91, lifelong resident of El Dorado, was called to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was born March 13, 1930 to the late Maurice Patrick Cannon and Ethel M. Allen Cannon.
Marion was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church most of his adult life and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in El Dorado. He was the Assistant Chief of El Dorado Fire Department for 23 years from which he retired from in 1984. He loved traveling and enjoying his retirement years. Marion was a family man; he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his spare time, he also enjoyed gardening. He was an avid Razorback Fan and loved calling the Hogs.
Marion is preceded in death by his parents; three children, Paula Hearn, Steve Cannon, Charles Cannon; granddaughter, Mary Beth Cannon; father-in-law, Chester Burns Sr.; mother-in-law, Ruby R. Burns and brother-in-law, Paul Burns.
Left to cherish his memories, wife of 41 years, Cecelia Burns Cannon; daughter, Dorothy Cetta (William Cetta II) six grandchildren, Daniel Paul Cetta (Lora), William Cetta (Michelle), David Hearn (Victoria), Evelyn McKale (Michael) and Jonathan Cannon; six great grandchildren; brother in laws, Chester Burns, Jr. and Craig Burns (Dee); sister-in-law, Linda Burns; son-in-law, Gerry Hearn; friend, Mary Frances (Taylor) Ramsey along with numerous family members and friends.
