Obituary
Marvin Bob Weido, Sr, 82 of El Dorado passed away Wednesday, November 23 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House.
Marvin was born September 23, 1934 to the late Joe Weido and Mary Caddess Weido. He graduated Sharp High School in 1953, joined the Army in 1955 where he served in the Korean War. From 1957 - 1964 he served as a Texas State Trooper. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior the last Sunday of August 1966. He founded Southside Baptist Church in 1970, graduated Bible Baptist Seminary in 1971. For forty eight years he was a Pastor and Evangelist spreading the word of God. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends and his church families.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife of 40 years, Ava Jean Stephens Weido; one brother, Leland Weido and one step son, Jason Springs.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Allie Weido (MeMe); children, Bob Weido (Lydia), JD Weido (Deanna), Debbie Lawson (Steve), Viola Gilkey (Print), Josh Weido and Jara Weido; four step-children, Jodi Pina (Andy), Jared Springs, Jana Jimenez (Erik) and Jada Benavidez; ten grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 Friday, November 25 at Bible Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11am Saturday, November 26 at Bible Baptist Church with Bro. JD Weido, Bro. Bob Weido and Bro. Aaron Weido officating.
There will a church service in Fort Worth, TX at 2pm Monday, November 28 at Worth Baptist Church with Dr. Raymond Barber and Bro. JD Weido officiating.
Internment will follow service at Emerald Hills Memorial Cemetery in Kennedale, TX.
