Obituary

Mary Sue Christie Dawson , age 95 of Camden, died in Mobile, Alabama on March 7, 2015.. She
was born on June 9, 1919 , the daughter of Otis and Lee Ola Christie of Wesson. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Christine Christie and Lucille Ainsworth and a brother, Woodrow Christie.

She is survived by a son, Robert T. Dawson of Fort Smith and a daughter, Jimmie Baillio of Dauphin Island, Alabama and her former husband, Dallas Baillio of Mobile as well as five grandchildren; Christie Dawson of Washington, D.C., Dr. David Dawson and his wife, Michelle , of Memphis, Tennessee, Courtney Beland and her husband, Colby of Fort Smith, Dr. Emily Murray and her husband, Dr. Tim Murray of Homewood, Alabama and Nancy Wimberley and her husband, Floyd of Oviedo , Florida. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren. She was the owner of the Carousel Beauty Shop in Camden for many years.

A graveside service will be conducted at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Union County at 10 a.m. of March 21 with her nephew, the Rev. Charles Ainsworth presiding. A reception of remembrance will be held from to 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 20, at Perry's Funeral Chapel in El Dorado.
She will be remembered as an independent and feisty woman much loved by her grandchildren who fondly recall visits with her when she allowed them to have Girl Scout cookies for breakfast, watch TV all day if they wished, and do all the things they could not do at home.
