IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary
Coleman
February 28, 1951 – June 20, 2025
Mary Francis Coleman, age 74, passed from this life June 20, 2025. Mary was born February 28, 1951 in Springhill, LA to the late David Ray and Lurline Coleman.
Mary Coleman, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, joy, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Mary was the kind of person whose laughter could light up a room. Known for her quick wit and sense of humor, she brought joy to every gathering and had a special way of making everyone feel at home. Whether she was surrounded by children or catching up with old friends, Mary's laughter was the soundtrack to so many cherished memories.
She had a deep love for her children and grandchildren, and nothing made her happier than spending time with them. Holidays, Sunday afternoons, or just simple moments together—Mary treasured them all.
A passionate sports fan, she cheered proudly for her Dallas Cowboys during football season and the Chicago Cubs every summer. Her enthusiasm never waned, win or lose. But what brought her the most pride was watching her son, Jimmy Lewis, sing. His music touched her heart, and she never missed a chance to listen and support him.
Mary Coleman lived with warmth, humor, and love—and those gifts will continue in the lives of all who were lucky enough to know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Pat Coleman; and three grandchildren David Hays, Brandon Williams, and Carol-Marie Knight.
Those left to cherish her memory include: three sons Jimmy Lewis (Amber), Michael Lewis (Rhonda), PJ Lewis (Leanne); one daughter Dorothy Lewis; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; brothers Donald Ray Mills (Carol), and David Coleman, Jr (Karla); as well as a host of extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at 4:00 PM Monday, June 30, 2025, at Galilee Baptist Church in El Dorado, AR. A time of visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until time of service at the church.
