Mary Ellen Wells, 96, of El Dorado passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House after a brief illness.  She was born on April 15, 1925 in Millville, Arkansas to the late Luther Cox and Edna Pickett Cox.

Mary Ellen was a lifetime member of Westside Baptist Church. She was a fine Christian woman with and unshakeable faith. Mary Ellen was a telephone operation with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company before retiring. After retiring she and her daughter, Stephanie, spent their spare time going antiquing, to estate sales, and auctions, where they would pick up treasures for their antique booth located at Crystal Hill Antique Mall in Little Rock. Mary Ellen also volunteered in the gift shop at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Steven Wells; and brother, Bill Cox.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Stephanie Wells; and her many friends and church family members at West Side Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 AM on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Perry's Funeral Chapels. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 10:00 AM with Interment at Arlington Memorial Park.
