Mary Jane Smith Wyrick, 66 of Mt. Holly died Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the John R. Wiliamson Hospice House.
She was born March 15, 1947 in Mt. Holly, Ar to Will Ed and Lottie Smith. She graduated from Smackover Public Schools and was a member of Silver Hill Methodist Church for all her pre adult life. She maintained various jobs in her life until she found her life's calling as a social worker with CADC, where she spent her life pursing what she was called to do with her life, helping people in their time of need. She loved her calling and her job. She always went far above her normal duties in providing assistance to her clients. She truly loved the people she helped and considered them to be a second family. When the normal funds ran out she would continue attempts of acquiring other resources, at times going to her personal bank account to help people in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Henry Smith.
Mary Jane is survived by her spouse of 44 years, Tommy Wyrick of Mt. Holly, and one son William Baine Wyrick, of Tonganoxie, Kansas, along with his spouse Tawnie, one granddaughter, Kacie Jane, three step-grandchildren, two of Arizona and one of the home, one great-grandchild and a host of CADC special friends and extended family.
