Maxine Darden was born July 31, 1927 in Wesson, AR and left this life in Arkadelphia, AR on June 6, 2014. She was a resident of Urbana, AR for 65 years and longtime member of Urbana Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Annie Pearl Patterson; husband, Joseph (Dick) Darden; brother, Roy Patterson; son Robert Darden and her son-in-law, Garrett Cowenhoven. She is survived by her daughter, MaryAnn Cowenhoven and two grandsons, Spencer (Tracie) and Russell, of Fremont, CA and one sister, Emma Garner of Arkadelphia, AR.

The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to Megan Flen who provided nine years of loving care to Mrs. Darden. Megan's compassion, thoughtfulness, support and care was appreciated more than words can express.

Visitation will be held at Perry's Funeral Chapels from 1:00-3:00pm on Tuesday, June 10. The funeral service will be at 3:00pm at Perry's presided by Reverend Clyde Darden and burial will be at the Urbana Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Spencer Cowenhoven, Russell Cowenhoven, Lance Garner, Toby Garner, Craig May, Bruce Patterson, Steve Darden, and James Darden. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Ledbetter, Austin Ledbetter, Colton Garner, and Ethan Ledbetter.
