Melba A. Mason Bagley, 88, our beloved mother, passed away on July 30, 2021, after a brief illness.  She was born in Union County on October 27, 1932, to Loy F. Mason and Lorene Owens Mason.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charles Dale Mason, and husband of 35 years, Jack Bagley.  Those remaining to mourn her loss are her children, Randy (Lori) Bagley of El Dorado, Brenda (George) Sanders of Hot Springs, Sandra (Donnie) West of Shreveport, LA, and sister, Lavern Parker of Malvern.

Melba enjoyed the outdoors.  Many would often see her busy mowing her yard or fishing in her pond…a love she passed on to her children.  Mom also loved her family and her church and was committed to serving both with all the talents given to her by God.  She will be greatly missed!

Other survivors are her five grandchildren, Jonna Stinson (El Dorado), Sara Gilbert (El Dorado), Gregg Sanders (Taipei), Eric Sanders (Tokyo), and Jessica Blackwell (Shreveport) who gave her eight wonderful, great grandchildren, Jordan Stinson (Ruston), Julia Stinson (El Dorado), Michael Gilbert (Oklahoma City), Emma Gilbert (El Dorado), Audrey and David Sanders (Taipei), Alice Sanders (Tokyo), and A.J. Blackwell (Shreveport).  Her nieces, Karen Jobe and Connie Atkinson, will be the vocalists at her funeral.  Sister-in-law, Helen Bagley Brown, was dear to mom's heart.

Funeral services will be at Hillsboro St. Church of Christ on Monday, August 2, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Hopewell Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 1, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Hillsboro St. Church of Christ.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Stinson, Randy Gilbert, Donnie West, Dillon Blackwell, Jeff Bagley, and Kevin Owens. Honorary pallbearers are Gregg Sanders, Eric Sanders, Johnnie Loftin, and Eddie Bagley.

Donations may be made to Hillsboro St. Church of Christ or donor's choice.
