Obituary
Melva J. Gutherie, 76, of El Dorado, passed on to be with our Lord in Heaven on Monday,
March 24, 2008, at St. Vincent Infirmary.
She attended Westside Assembly of god. She was a waitress for 35 years and enjoyed camping,
fishing, and spending time with her family. She was born July 5, 1931, in Perryville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Bulah Huffstutlar; a sister Dimple
Gibbons; and two brothers, Buddy and Benny Huffstutlar
She will be loved and missed by her surviving family including her husband of 61 years, Z.L.
Guthrie; her children, and their spouces, Patricia and James Ginnett, Carolyn and Duke Wilson,
Rickie and Debra Guthrie, Ray and Margaret Guthrie, Garvis and Paula Guthrie, Sheila and Terry
Graves, and Roger Guthrie; 15 grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren and one great great-
granddaughter.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm til 8:00pm today at Perry's Funeral Chapels. Funeral will be
held at 2:00pm Thursday, March 27, at First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Don
Ashcraft officiating.
