Obituary
Nancy Joe (BawBaw) Taunton 69 of Strong went to her Heavenly Home on Thursday, July 14, 2011 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born in Lapile, Arkansas on June 28, 1942, the daughter of GP (Phares) and Cornelia Perdue Taunton. Nancy was a homemaker with a passion for cooking, sewing, gardening, but her greatest gift was her love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Wade Taunton, Jimmy Taunton and one child James Lee Hixon
Surviors include one sister Peggy Fairris (Sam), two daughters Gayla Telano (Willie), Cathy Phillips (Charlie) and one son David Hixon all of Strong. Grandchildren Danielle Murray (Wade), Lane Redler, Trey Phillips, Robert Phillips, Brittney Hixon and Adrian Hixon, two great grandchildren, Joshua Murray and Miranda Murray, and a host of nieces and nephews. A special faithful companion Sparky and a special care giver Akeba Riley.
Graveside services will be at 9 A.M on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Old Lapile Cemetery, with Sterling Claypoole officiating under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels of Strong. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Perry's Funeral Chapels in Strong.
Family will be at 272 Fairris Lane in Strong.
