Obituary
Nellie G. Willis 91, of El Dorado and formerly of Beebe, Arkansas, died Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Oak Ridge Nursing Home in El Dorado.
She was born October 27, 1919 in White County, Arkansas to John Oather Davis and Daisy Mae Smith Davis. She was a charter member of the Beebe Church of Christ and a current member of the College Avenue Church of Christ in El Dorado.
Nellie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; James M. Willis, three brothers; Everett Davis, Lee Davis and John H. "J" Davis; and six sisters; Hazel Davis, Eunice Becton, Erma Dye, Viola Fecher, Mattie Edwards, and Onie Edwards.
She is survived by one son, James E. Willis of Strong; and four nephews; Frank Davis (Gertrude), Oather C. Davis (Mary Lee), Walter Lewis (Sherry), Bobby Edwards (Polly) a niece; Nora Haynes; and a great niece Debbie Tuttle; best friends, Connie and Roy Lemons, and Trudie and Jim Welch; and the staff at Oak Ridge Nursing Home.
Service will be Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Perry's Funeral Chapels with Bros. Dan Williams and Kent Jobe officiating. Burial will be private in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Beebe, Arkansas, under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels in El Dorado.
Memorials may be made to Oak Ridge Nursing Home, Life Touch Hospice or College Ave. Church of Christ.
