Nettie Lee Langley Amis went to be with the Lord and Savior on March 27, 2010, at the West Monroe Guest House in West Monroe, Louisiana. Mrs. Amis was born on September 29, 1919 in Dalark, Arkansas, to Andrew Franklin and Hettie Lee Hood Langley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bernes F. Amis, a great grandson, Austin Gore, a great granddaughter, Emma Tinney, and brothers Donald, Vernie, Coy, Cortez, John Calvin, and B. Scott Langley.
She is survived by her sons: Gary (Gloria) Amis of Springhill, LA, Reverend Duane (Julia) Amis, and Tony Amis of El Dorado, AR; granddaughters Paula (Clint) Foster, Lori (Jay) Gore, Rita Koske all of Sarepta, LA; Karin (Trenton) Polk of Houston, TX, Magan (Kevin) Moss of Sparkman, AR, and Lindsey Amis of El Dorado, AR and one grandson, Rodney (Amanda) Amis of Waxahachie, TX, and eight great-grandchildren, Madelyn Koske, Abby Gore, Noah Polk, Taylor Moss, Austin Tinney, Jarrod Amis, Kayla and Canon Foster.
She was a member of First Assembly of God in El Dorado, and
a godly wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She retired from Sterling's, and was a homemaker.
The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, at First Assembly of God in El Dorado with Reverends Marvin Launius, Al Womack, and Trenton Polk officiating. The graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Delamar Cemetery in Manning, Arkansas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Kingdom Broadcasting (Christian Television), 923 East Hillsboro, El Dorado, Arkansas.
