Pete William Walker, age 79, of El Dorado, AR gained his wings Thursday, January 18, 2024. Pete was born January 1, 1945 in Shreveport, LA to the late Albert and Ruth Walker.

Pete lived life outdoors. He fished, hunted, rode horses, camped and loved mud and mountain riding. Pete loved collecting and trading guns. He enjoyed driving his big Peterbilts. We know he is smiling down and enjoying his days with Henry and Fred again. He was known by many, loved by all, and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers John Everett Walker and Jim Bob Walker; and two son-in-laws Jack Self and Bill Hebert.

Those left to cherish his memory include: his old woman of thirty-four years Mary Frances; six daughters April Self, Alicia Neely and her husband Chris, Rose Murphy and her husband Michael, Denise Hebert, Yvonne Henderson and her husband Shayne; Tina Sue Wilhite and her husband Josh; nine grandchildren Charles Wayne Hayes, Holly Hudson, Becca Neely, Jack Neely, Kayla Lambert, Mallory Caldwell, Caleb Blanchard, August Blanchard, Maddie Pearl Wilhite; and five great-grandchildren; one sister Bobbie Eichler; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service in his honor will be held at 2:00pm Friday, January 26, 2024, at Perry's Funeral Chapel in El Dorado, AR. The family invites you to come as you are and bring your favorite Pete Walker story. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
