Raymond Colvin Pennington, age 91, passed away April 29, 2024. Raymond was born November 14, 1932 in Junction City, AR to the late Harvey and Ruby Thurmon Pennington.

Mr. Pennington retired from Arkansas Power and Light, and was an outdoors man. He loved to fish, farm and hunt. He also loved to garden. He was a member of Blanchard Springs Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of seventy-one years Nell Pennington; one brother Melvin Pennington; and son Gary Pennington.

Those left to cherish his memory include: five grandchildren Chris Pennington (Krystal), Lisa Pennington, Stacy Sweet (Brad), Carol Martin (Rick), Jenny Gore; nine great-grandchildren Chance Norris (Jamie), Dekota Sweet, James Pennington. Chastity Norris, Harley Pennington, Shiloh Sweet, Bryan Lenz, Hunter Winters, and Maddie Martin; one great-great-grandchild Cora Norris; one brother Howard Pennington (Sylvia); two sisters Carolyn Foster (Donald), and Nelda Houge (Wayne); as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services in his honor will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Blanchard Springs Baptist Church in Junction City, AR, internment following at Beech Grove Cemetery in Spearsville, LA, Pastor Tim Hogue and Pastor Mike Wallace co-officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 5-7:00 PM Friday, May 3, 2024, at the church.
