Robert Thomas Bailey, 77, of Lyman, SC passed away on December 13, 2022, at home. He was born June 5, 1945, in El Dorado, AR, the son of the late Robert Walton Bailey and Inez Crunk Bailey Russell.

A United States Air Force Veteran, Robert was a member of the Catholic Church of Jesus our Risen Savior in Spartanburg, SC. He retired after many years of being a computer technician contractor.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Margaret K. Bailey; daughters, Ellen Alicia Phipps (Todd) of Malvern, AR and Amy Marie Essing of Greer, SC; grandchildren, Jordan Elizabeth Coleman, John Patrick Coleman, Jr. (Kristen), Emily Marie Coleman, Brooke Elizabeth Essing, and Alexander Nobel Essing; and great-grandchildren, Bishop Coleman and Bennett Coleman. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Betty Bailey Billingsley.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church, 2575 Reidville Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301. Interment with Military Honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday January 3, 2022 at Arlington Memorial Park, El Dorado, AR.
