>
> Bobby was born September 14, 1942 and lived his 73 years to the fullest. He was beloved by all who knew him. From being Foreman at Gaskin Logging and Bradford Logging, to a charter member of Poole Deer Camp, Bobby never made an enemy. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Many a night, he would help someone with car or truck trouble, never grumbling and more than happy to lend a hand. While Bobby loved to deer hunt, he equally enjoyed spending time at the deer camp just visiting and playing cards with his fellow camp members.
>
> However, Bobby's greatest joy in life was his grandchildren. In one year, he gained not one but two grandchildren. Kayla (known as "Priscilla to her Mamaw and Papaw) was the apple of her Papaw's eye. She always knew she could count on her Papaw. When Mama Cheryl and Mamaw would say "no", Papaw always took care of his "Priscilla". If she didn't like what was for lunch at school, she would call her Papaw and he would go deliver her a cheeseburger and fries with a twinkle in his eyes, telling her it would be their "secret". Many secretive smiles and laughter were shared between those two.
>
> Six months later, Rhett Robert Johnston, his greatest legacy arrived, the spitting image of Papaw Bobby. When he retired in September of 2005, he slid right into the roll of baby sitter for his little namesake. From working on doziers, to baling hay for Mr. Joe Mangum, to working on tractors, to fixing fences, to taking care of horses and dogs, to riding to the deer camp, Rhett was Papaw's shadow. Even after his numerous illnesses, the minute he was able, Papaw Bobby was always sitting under the carport in his chair watching for Rhett to get off the school bus, always with a big smile on his face.
>
> Even though he battled numerous illnesses these last three years, Bobby always had a positive attitude and never gave up hope. He was an inspiration and favorite to the many doctors and nurses who gave him such excellent care. And even though he had many close calls, he never lost his faith in the good Lord. Bobby was secure in his faith and knew with God all things are possible and what was waiting for him on the other side. Bobby was a member of First Baptist Church, and he and Bro. Scotty Guillot shared many prayers knowing that faith can move mountains.
>
> He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
