Robert Peter Pikul passed from this life July 23, 2023, at 90 years of age, in El Dorado, AR surrounded by family. Robert was born August 1, 1932 in Hartford, CT, to the late Stanislauf and Frances Pikul.

He was a proud American, a loving father, a devout Catholic and a supporter of the Catholic Church.  President Reagan shook his hand in recognition of the civil service work he did helping to decommission America's nuclear arsenal.  He enjoyed traveling, especially to Poland to celebrate and better understand his cultural heritage.  He had a lifelong love of tennis, which eventually led to Pickleball in the Villages in Orlando, where he built enduring friendships in his later years.  He will be missed dearly, but his legacy will be celebrated by his children, and his grandsons and granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Marion Pikul.

Those left to cherish his memory include: one son Robert Christian Pikul and his wife Ashley of El Dorado, AR; two daughters, Catherine Player and her husband Bill of Washington DC, and Diane Forester of Vermont; six grandchildren Henry, Ashley, Trevor, Maverick, Ella, Phineas; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 am, Friday July 28, 2023, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in El Dorado, AR, Father Eddie D'Almeda officiating.

At a later date, a funeral mass will be held at St. Cyril & Methodius Church in Hartford CT and his remains will be interred at the Mt. St. Benedict cemetery in a private ceremony.
