Robert "Bobby" Thurman Westbrook, 93 of El Dorado passed away  on January 11, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in McNeil, Arkansas on January 18, 1929, to the late Roy Thurman and Faith Evelyn Westbrook. Robert worked for Smackover Drilling/Production for 42 years before retiring. He was a member of Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Strong, Arkansas. After retirement Robert enjoyed a variety of activities such as vegetable gardening with his children, tending to his cattle, making hay, and piddling on the farm.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Ernestine Westbrook; his parents, Roy Thurman and Faith Evelyn Westbrook; brother, John H. Westbrook; and sister, Virginia Franklin.

Survivors include his son, John R. Westbrook (Wanda) of El Dorado; daughters, Paulette Beasley and Pam Westbrook of El Dorado; sister, Joyce Walters of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, David Beasley (Brandy) of Many, Louisiana, Shane Beasley of El Dorado, Luke Beasley (Kandie) of Watford City, North Dakota; Tonya Arnold (Steve) of Norphlet, and Brandon Westbrook of Watford City, North Dakota; 10 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Perry's Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on January 14, 2023, at Perry's Funeral Chapels officiated by Bro. Danny Malone and assisted by Bro. John Lamb. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.

Serving as Pallbearers are Jacob Beasley, Jonah Beasley, Alan Beasley, Jackson Beasley, Zach Westbrook, and Trey Adair.
