Robert Lynn Woolsey 57 died from a terminal illness at his home on Wednesday November 20, 2013. He was born in El Dorado on February 19, 1956 and was the son of the late Harse M. Woolsey and Erma Faye Welch Woolsey Little. He was a paint contractor by trade.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Doyle Woolsey and Billy Woolsey.
Robert worked hard as a paint contractor for many years in union county. He played hard as well, whether it was hunting and fishing or pitching for the wildcats in his youth, he was passionate about the things and people he loved. He was an active supporter of the Union County
Senior Babe Ruth. He was very supportive of the El Dorado Wildcats and attended their games at home and away. He loved the Hogs ,but most of all, he loved his family who he cherished.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cindy Cates Woolsey of El Dorado, a daughter; Mary Ann Woolsey Thompson of El Dorado, two sons; Anthony Woolsey and Thomas Woolsey, both of El Dorado, and his precious granddaughter; Abigail J. Thompson. Also surviving him is an uncle; Ronnie Welch of Tyler, Texas and two aunts; Linda Manasco (Max) of Pearcy, Ar., and Diane Hall (Larry) of Houston, Texas, numerous cousins and extended family, and his two dogs Max and Rex.
Memorial services will be held at 2pm today (Friday November 22, 2013) at Parkers Chapel First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Hudson officiating.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to El Dorado Athletic Foundation, 451 N. Washington or Life Touch Hospice.
