Roy J. Beckham 93, of El Dorado died Tuesday March 3, 2015 . He was born in El Dorado on September 8, 1921. He was a retired lockmaster with the Army Corps of Engineers and a Veteran serving in the United States Army in the European Theater during second World War.

Roy was a life-long resident of the Old Union Community. He enjoyed fishing and visiting family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; Fanny Diffey and Walter Burrel Beckham, his wife; Lanita Sue Shirey Beckham, and most recently his son; Tommy Beckham.

Survivors include nephew; Ronald Mauldin (Sissy) , a great niece Misty Randolph (Steven) a great nephew; R.J. Mauldin all of Jefferson Tx., a cousin Barbara Jean Bell of Farmerville, La, and some special friends; Leon and Tammy Osgood, and Tori and Ivy Jane Osgood all of El Dorado and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2pm Sunday March 8, 2015 at Union Cemetery in Old Union with Hospice Chaplain Bob Inman officiating under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels. Visitation will be held 30minutes prior to services at the cemetery.
