Roy J. Smith, 74, of El Dorado died Thursday February 25, 2010 at his home. He was born May
22, 1935 in El Dorado. He was the son of the late Walter James Smith and Ruby Estelle Darden
Smith. He was a paint contractor working in construction most of his career.

He was preceded in death by his parents and most recently a brother; John Ruben Smith

Survivors include his wife Hattie E.Smith, his sons; Randy Smith (Beth), Rodney Lane
Smith (Cindy), Roy Joe Smith Jr. (Loring), Bubba Smith (Lisa), a daughter; Theresa Lynn
House (Jack), brothers; Bob Smith (Delores) and Gene Smith, grandchildren; Jeri Leigh, Jammie Lynn, Justin, Jackie Lynn, Johnathon, Steven, Robert, Crystal, Brent, Tara, and Logan, great
grandchildren; Preston, Caleb, Kare Lee, Lynn Lee, Sayhala, and Caylee.

Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Tuesday March 2, 2010 at Perry's Funeral Chapels
with Johnathon House officiating services. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be, Keith Smith,
Wendell King and Robert "Peck" McCollom. Active pallbearers will be Justin House, Michael Smith,
Brent Smith, Logan Smith, Robert Smith, and Steven Smith. Burial will be at Friendship
Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8PM Monday March 1, 2010 at the Funeral Home.

A gathering for friends and family will be held at Jody Smith's residence following services. 1030 Midway Rd., El Dorado, Arkansas.
