Obituary
Sarah M. Paxton, 94 , of Strong died Sunday, November 16, 2008, at the John R. Williamson
Hospice House. She was born on July 22, 1914 in Oakland, LA. To Jessie Young and Dora
Della Duck Maroney. Sarah was a member of Strong First Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Talmadge Paxton, Three brothers, Dummy Maroney,
Skinny Maroney, and Pete Maroney.
Survived by a son, Allen (Dolores) Paxton of Cotten Grove , Mn. A daughter, Mary (John
David) Coleman of Strong, a grandson Michael (Jennie) Paxton of Sherport, La. Four
granddaughters, Tracey (Randy) White, Kelli Coleman both of New London, Allyson Litton and
Kristy Bergquist both of Cottage Grove, Mn. Great- grandchildren, Ariana, Hayden, Emily,
Mokey, Caroline, Rachael, and Reid. Three sisters Grertie Hill, Zelda Morris, and Betty Kellum
and one brother, Joe Maroney.
Visitation will be Monday, November 17, 2008, at Strong First Baptist Church from 6 til 8 PM.
Funeral service will be at 2PM Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Strong First Baptist Church with
Scotty Gillot officiating. Burial will be in the Strong Cemetery under the direction of Perry's
Funeral Chapels in Strong.
Memorials may be made to Life Touch Hospice or Hope Landing.
