Shirley Jean Loyd West, 51, of El Dorado died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas after a lengthily illness. She was born March 30, 1959 in Wynne, Arkansas to John Arlice Loyd and Fannie Ette Vestal Loyd. She was a homemaker and a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents a brother Robert Loyd and two children Tyler West and Brandy West.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years Paul J. West, a son John Jeffery West and his wife Amy, and a daughter Amber Nicole West all of El Dorado. Two grandsons Arik Nelson and Dayton Drummond of El Dorado; two granddaughters Hope and Kelsey West of Columbus, Arkansas; three brothers Ray Loyd of Tichnor, Arkansas, William Loyd and Edward Loyd of Wynne, Arkansas; two sisters Dorothy Hiett of Witts Springs, Arkansas; and Nellie Batchelor of Searcy, Arkansas and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 2:00PM Friday, September 3, 2010, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Sam Whitlow officiating. Services are under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.

Visitation will be Friday, September 3, 2010, from 12:30-1:30 at Perry's Funeral Chapels.
