Thomas Garner Garlington 78, of El Dorado died Sunday January 30, 2011 at Oak Ridge Nursing Home.
He was born February 18,1932 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Price Connor Garlington and Alleen Zora Reed Garlington.
He graduated from El Dorado High School in 1950, where he achieved state high school "All American" status, both in football and wrestling. He attended the University of Arkansas three years and played football for the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears before spending a career as "mill wright", working in construction most of his life. He loved hunting and was a charter member of the Memphis Bass Club
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 58yrs., Charlotte Wilson Garlington of El Dorado, two daughters; Evelyn Garlington of Salt Lake City, Utah and Sharon Garlington Parker of St. Louis, Missouri and a brother Price Connor Garlington Jr. of Lillie, LA.
He is being cremated and cremation services were entrusted to Perry's Funeral Chapels. There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
