Tom Winferd Hogue, age 73, passed away on December 5, 2017 at the Life Touch Hospice House, after a brief illness.
He was born in Bastrop, La on July 28, 1944 to Haltom Hogue and Minnie Lou Coleman Hogue. He spent his early childhood in Strong, Ar. He moved to El Dorado while in middle school. He was in the National Guard for 4 years in El Dorado, Active duty for 2 years in Fort Sill, OK. He was discharged in 1970 as an E5 and received Soldier Of The Month his last month in. He was a lifelong Truck Driver. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death are his parents, two brothers; Lavelle Hogue of Strong, Ar; Wayne Hogue of Spearsville, La; and son, Rodney Skipper of El Dorado.
He is survived by a daughter Angela Hogue Turner, Granddaughter Kaytlin Turner both of El Dorado; wife, Kathy Hogue of Pea Ridge, Ar; a sister Melba Griffin Hollis of Ruston, La; sister in-law Nelda Hogue of Spearsville, La; two stepsons, David (Doris) Nesbitt of El Dorado and Daniel (Michelle) Nesbitt of Pea Ridge, Ar; step grandchildren Brooklyn Nesbitt of El Dorado, Hailey and Dalton Nesbitt of Pea Ridge, Ar; a special great aunt, Edith Moore of Smackover, Ar and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitations will be held 5p.m.-7p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Bible Baptist Church on Smackover Hwy.
Funeral service will be held at 2p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Bible Baptist Church with Bro. J.D. Weido officiating.
Followed by Interment at Brantley Cemetery in Spearsville, La under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bible Baptist Church or John R. Williamson Hospice House.
