Travis Andrew Norris, Sr, age 81, passed from this life Thursday, April 10, 2025.  Mr. Norris was born April 14, 1943 in Strong, AR to the late Andrew Norris and Hattie Henry.

Travis enjoyed hunting and fishing and the great outdoors. One could find him snacking on "Riffles" and Honey Buns in his recliner watching an episode of Gunsmoke. He was devoted to his church family at Union Chapel in Strong, AR, where he was a member for over fifty years. His true passion was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those who knew him will pass on his stories of travels and hunting adventures as they hold his memory dear for generations.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bobbie Jean Norris, one son Travis Norris, Jr, two grandsons Jesse Maroney and Dominic Powell, brother Dwayne Norris, and one sister Carolyn Mock.

Those left to cherish his memory include: one son Tommy Norris and his wife Shari; stepchildren Heather Allen and her husband Josh and Karen Kingery and her husband Gene, Jamie Taylor, Buddy Taylor, Mark Taylor and his wife Trish, Suzette Rowell and her husband Johnny Carl; Teresa Cone and her husband Scott; nine grandchildren Patrick Maroney, Josh Norris and his wife Amanda, Nathon Kingrey, Jr, Dakota Powell, Jordon Norris, Tate Allen, McKenzie Norris, Sarah Taylor, and Lukis Borck; seven great-grandchildren Braden, Jessica, Harper, Able, Bella, Harvey, and Keslynn, three brothers Ronnie Norris and his wife Lois Ann, Gary Norris and his wife Cheryl, and Troy Norris; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services in his honor will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Union Chapel in Strong, AR, Pastor Danny Malone officiating, interment following at Norris Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 5-7:00PM Saturday evening, April 12, 2025, at the church.
