Vell Davis Marks, 78, passed from this life on December 2, 2020 at her home in Norphlet. She was born on November 2, 1942 in Bloomburg, Texas. She was the only child of Wayne and Sibyl Davis of Norphlet.

Vell graduated from Norphlet High School in May 1960 and was Homecoming Queen her Junior year. After graduation she worked for the Arkla Gas Company in Shreveport, LA and was chosen to be their Gas Light Girl to promote their new gas lights. She dearly loved her kids and her animals. Her favorite pastime was watching gospel quartet videos and Family Feud with Steve Harvey. Later in life she surprisingly became a fan of NFL Football and loved cheering on the New Orleans Saints.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her three children, Camille Hart and her husband, Mark of Los Angeles, CA, Gina Marks of Los Angeles, and Keith Poole of Norphlet.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Perry's Funeral Chapels. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 7, 2020 officiated by Bro. Duane Amis followed by a private internment under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.
