Venita Nash Smith, 58, of El Dorado, Arkansas left her earthly home and entered her heavenly home on Saturday, May 29, 2021 surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Bernice, Louisiana on January 4, 1963 to the late James "Buddy" Nash and Movine (Lucy) Nash.
Venita was a genuine, Godly, graceful, and kind lady who lived her life for others and who gave sacrificially to benefit those around her. She was a prayer warrior and prayed daily for each member of her family and for those who were in need of prayer. Venita was an educator at Junction City Schools for 16 years where she worked tirelessly to help her students succeed. She was a faithful and committed member of Murmil Baptist Church where she served in various capacities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Lucy Nash and her mother-in-law, Joann Smith. Those left to cherish her memory, husband of 40 years, Billy Joe Smith; six children, Ben Smith, Jared Smith, Valerie Nation (Matt), Charity Dennison (Nick), Carissa Smith, and Micah Smith (Maria), eight grandchildren; one brother, James Nash (Laurie); two sisters, Teresa Nash and Lisa Russell; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved father-in-law, Rev. Billy Smith.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held 6:00 PM, Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Murmil Baptist Church. Visitation will follow at 7:00 PM.
