William G. "Bill" Thornton passed peacefully from this world into the gates of Heaven on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the age of 86 with his family at his side.

Born July 1, 1928 in Summerfield, LA. he and his twin sister, the late Lillian B Thornton Thibeau were the fifth and sixth children born to the late George Robert Thornton and Bessie Ollie Cook Thornton.

After his military service he returned to El Dorado and met his beloved Ann, who on August 15, 1954 would become his wife.
