Winfred "Wimp" Ward ,81, of Strong passed away at his home on July 21, 2016.

Wimp was born January 9, 1935 to the late W. Zell Ward and Dorothy May Finney Ward. He worked for United Built Homes for 45 years and still today worked part time for the company he loved, taking great pride in being a part of it for so many years. Selling a home to his customers was something he loved and was passionate about. Wimp was also a comedian for the Three Creeks Band, loved performing on stage, playing music and playing his mandolin. Seeing the smiling faces of the residents at local nursing homes, was a great joy to Wimp and his wife, Debra, as they played music and sang for them. One of his greatest joys in life was his family and the family gatherings with his children and grandchildren. Wimp was a man of great faith. His church and church family were a very important part of his life. He and his wife Debra sang many specials for their church family for over 32 years , something that was very dear to them. Serving as music director at Union Chapel for more than 33 years, he loved every minute of it. He will be missed by many and loved by all.
